Enjoy a coffee in ‘Brood’ – the cafe with a difference where you can watch one of Australia’s most endangered finches, the Gouldian finch and enjoy hearing the birds in the outdoor aviaries from a distance. Brood Cafe offers a selection of cakes and a great range of ‘toasties’ (toasted sandwiches) for purchase. Entry to Brood Cafe is free! The Bower Gift Shop. ‘The Bower’ offers a range of souvenirs, gifts and local art. If you enjoy feeding wild birds, nutritionally balanced quality bird food for you to take home is also available. Entry to ‘The Bower’ is also free. Picnic Areas. Bring along your own picnic lunch and enjoy the sights and sounds of the birds, some just metres from the bird aviaries. Accessibility. On the Perch Bird Park is wheelchair friendly, however, there are some undulating and gravelled areas across the grounds. Parking. On the Perch Bird Park offers three visitor parking areas including space for larger vehicles. Accessible parking spaces are also offered near the Entry. Parenting Facilities. A high chair and baby change facilities are available to visitors. A small kids playground is located inside the bird park and available for use by park patrons. Cameras and Video Equipment. You are very welcome to take photos and videos of the birds. However, please do not let this interfere with the experience of other visitors.
