Splendid Fairy Wren

Occurs across inland and arid Australia within shrubland and other dense habitats. Feeding primarily on insects, they breed in Spring and Summer.
They are socially monogamous, co-operative breeders that live in family groups where a dominant male and female are assisted by young males from previous nests.
