Our Bird Photography Workshop will teach you the skills and techniques to get the great bird and wildlife photos you have always wanted!
Our first workshop SOLD OUT very quickly, so we have added another workshop to be held on Wednesday 18th September 2019 from 9am to 2pm. On this day we are normally closed. So, not only will you have two award-winning photographers to guide you through this workshop, this is a very rare opportunity to have more than 120 species and 700 animals at your finger tips and with no other visitors around. This workshop is limited to 12 people and includes morning tea and a light lunch.
Your photographers for the workshop are Mr Harrison Warne and Mr Steve Sass.
Harrison Warne is a local wildlife photographer and film-maker. In 2017 he won the overall Australian Nature Conservancy photography competition. Last year he took out first and third place in the local Atlas of Life in Coastal Wilderness photography competition and this year he is a finalist in the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition. Harrison strives to create images which reflect the behaviour and mood of his subjects, and is excited to teach others the technical and artistic styles of bird photography.
Steve Sass has been photographing birds and other wildlife for more than 40 years! As a previous winner of the BirdLife Australia photography competition, Steves images of wild birds have also graced the covers of a number of scientific journals and magazine. He is a well respected wildlife ecologist, and his initimate knowledge of species ecology shows in his portraits and natural behaviour photos of Australian Wildlife.
The sessions during the workshop are as follows:
2. Understanding animal behaviour and how it improves your photography
3. Camera settings – what you need to know.
4. Guided tour of some of the aviaries that are not open to the general public
5. Editing – learn how to edit your pictures.
You will be able to photograph throughout the day and within all sessions.
